The Historic Homes Walk is one of many themed walks operated by the Original Charleston Walks tour company. The walk highlights architecture in the residential district south of Broad. It includes visits to both the Edmondston-Alston and the Nathaniel Russell House. This walk takes you through some of the most stately and picturesque residential streets on the Charleston peninsula, including the Battery.

Tours meet in Washington Square and depart daily.
Steven's CommentsThis tour was worth every penny paid. I really enjoyed the company provided by our tour guide, Nina. Nina is a Lowcountry native, and she really knew her stuff. I have to say that Nina pointed out things that really made me look at Charleston architecture in a whole new light. I really wish I had brought a notepad on our walk, because Nina made so many comments and drew attention to so many details that I have forgotten many of them. There were details that I had never even noticed in the several years now I have been visiting Charleston.

Nina is certainly a first-rate tour guide, providing perhaps the best tour I have ever been on. She is also very nice and down-to-earth.

Charles' CommentsThe tour guide for the Historic Homes tour was very funny and pleasant. She made the tour great fun.

I'm reasonably sure that we'll be going on another of their tours in the future.
